Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist

This position reports to RA Business Area FP&A Services - Lead.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budgets, and forecasts. Each day, you will support the ABB group management and other stakeholders at various organizational levels in decision-making processes. You will also support the evaluation of the impact of strategic, financial, or other major investment decisions.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite, #LI-Hybrid.

This role contributes to ABB Services in Bangalore, India.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing human resource planning, selection, development, and periodic performance reviews of team members.
2. Creating a learning and business-oriented atmosphere among team members.
3. Ensuring accurate and timely financial analysis delivery by managing a team executing controlling and planning tasks in compliance with guidelines and procedures.
4. Collaborating closely with business controllers to shape business performance and providing information to management through data analysis, presentations, and recommendations.
5. Supporting financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
6. Validating the accuracy of financial data and reports.
7. Building and managing high-performing process teams through leadership, training, and career development.
8. Optimizing team performance by promoting automation, eliminating duplications, and standardizing processes across the business.
9. Ensuring SOPs are regularly updated for all team activities.
10. Ensuring service delivery within SLAs and KPIs.
11. Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility, and caring for colleagues and the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in Accounting, Finance, or Controlling.
• Experience in a service delivery model environment.
• CA/CMA/CS/Master's Degree in Finance and Accounting or Business Administration.
• Proven leadership skills in managing teams through change and achieving objectives.
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English and preferably the local language.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to guide and coach junior team members.
• Proficiency in MS Office and IT systems: ERP, Planning & Reporting tools, understanding of end-to-end processes and data flows.
