Job summary

Field Service Technician in Singapore

Working in the MaK Asia workshop in Singapore, you will perform service, maintenance and overhauling on MaK medium speed marine engine components in a safe manner independently. You will be required to attend local / Overseas onboard vessels and perform engine component servicing as and when required.

The primary responsibilities for this position will be to (but not limited to):

• Performs replacement of parts and assemblies under the guide of service engineer.
• Under the guide of service engineer, works from service manuals, maintenance manuals, and medium speed engine equipment schematics.
• Performs tasks with minimum supervision using experience and good judgment.
• Communicates verbally in an effective manner with technical staff, other employees and customer on medium speed engine equipment problems or suggested improvements.

• You will be entitled to overtime pay if overtime work is required.
• This role may be required to travel for work overseas occasionally.

Required Skill and Experience:

• Must have vessel engine repair experience
• Should demonstrate good mechanical comprehension and strong communication skills with technical staff and fellow employees
• Knowledge of maintenance, ability to communicate with other technical personnel and machine repair practices and procedures
