Job summary

UMW EQUIPMENT & ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a hands-on Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment. You will focus on equipment reliability, safety, and minimizing downtime while delivering high-quality service.

Requirements include a technical certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems is essential, with strong diagnostic skills

Qualifications

Certificate or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in servicing, maintaining and repairing material handling equipment is required.
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems is essential.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing of material handling equipment, including forklifts.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine faults to identify root causes.
Carry out on-site and emergency repairs to minimise downtime and disruption.
Inspect and maintain key components per manufacturer specifications.
Ensure safety, environmental, and company policy compliance.
Maintain service reports and technical documentation.
Maintain 5S standards in service areas and vehicles.
