Field Service Technician/Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and service of UPS and related critical server room infrastructure systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical acumen, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of UPS systems and critical infrastructure equipment.
2. Respond to fault calls, diagnose issues, and carry out corrective actions at customer sites.
3. Be available for after-hours standby duty and respond to emergency service requests.
4. Collaborate with the sales team during site visits and provide pre-sales technical advice.
5. Supervise and support the implementation of IT networking and power infrastructure projects.
6. Maintain detailed service records and report on completed work.
7. Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of electrical and/or electronic systems.
• Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and power distribution is preferred.
• Familiarity with IT networking and computer hardware systems is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned by supervisors or senior management.
