Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Marine) to provide technical support, installation, and maintenance of equipment. You will manage service-related projects and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering and experience in field service engineering.

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years of experience in field service engineering, with at least 2-3 years in project execution.
  • Strong understanding of Marine / industrial equipment, automation systems, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Role

As a Field Service Engineer (Marine) at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing technical support, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment and systems, while also managing service-related projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, customer focus, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Service & Support
    • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
    • Provide timely and effective technical support to clients.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during service activities.
  • Project Management
    • Lead and manage service-related projects including upgrades, retrofits, and system integrations.
    • Develop project plans, schedules.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.
    • Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Customer Interaction
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
    • Provide training and technical guidance to end-users.
    • Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
    • Experience in project management and execution.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain detailed service records and project documentation.
    • Prepare service reports, project updates, and feedback for continuous improvement.
Must Have
  • Degree in Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 5-6 years of experience in field service engineering, with at least 2-3 years in project execution.
  • Strong understanding of Marine / industrial equipment, automation systems, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in managing small to medium-scale technical projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel and work at customer sites as required.
