About the role

As a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) at Powell Industries, you will play a vital role in providing on-site technical support and maintenance services for our wide range of electrical equipment and systems across the Region. This full-time position will require you to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure the reliable operation and performance of our products at our customers' sites.

What you'll be doing

1. Conduct scheduled and emergency maintenance, inspections, and repairs of MV and LV Switchgear, and automation systems at the customer sites

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with the electrical equipment

3. Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and support

4. Document all work undertaken and maintain detailed records of equipment performance and service history

5. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies

6. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

1. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technician in the industry

3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems

4. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with customers and collaborate with the technical team

5. A safety-first mindset and commitment to working in accordance with health and safety regulations

6. Willingness to travel to customer sites across the Region as required
