Job Description Summary We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer with a strong background in electrical knowledge. Possess some skills in inventory management and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Field Service Engineer to perform Erection & Commissioning and service activities contributing to maintain, repair and refurbish of sold or existing products, including all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial) and manage maintenance facilities. Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will be primarily responsible for Field Service activities related to Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB), AIS, Fact’s products and G3 technology, providing our customer with technical support, promote overall consumer satisfaction and provide Engineering and Product development feedback.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare and assist the project management team with necessary document prior to site execution (i.e., Method of Statement, Risk assessment, pre-job checklist, etc.).
Lead site team in performing periodic maintenance of GE Grid Solutions equipment on customer premise.
Executing site activities in accordance with GE Grid process and core values of safety and integrity.
Upkeeping of tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly maintained.
Keeping up to date on administrative responsibility including project time sheet and reports in a timely manner.
Fulfill, demonstrate and comply with ensuring Zero Deviation towards GE EHS policy.
Report/resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner.
Support different stakeholders in securing opportunities through various internal programs.
Required Qualifications
NITEC / Diploma.
1-5 years' working experience.
Relevant experience in testing and commissioning of protection relays and interpreting electrical schematic diagrams will be an advantage.
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Good knowledge of electrical measurements and equipment is a plus.
Willing to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays when necessary.
Good interpersonal skills, able to work both independently and in teams.
Site maintenance and overseas traveling is required.
Possess a very positive attitude and excellent customer relationship skills.
