A leading company seeks a Field Service Engineer responsible for technical advice, installation, and troubleshooting of GIS products. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 5 years' service experience in the Power and Utility sectors. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with safety regulations.
The opportunity:
Field Service Engineering work is focused on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment including Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up. Researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs. Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business. May resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
How you’ll make an impact:
· You will complete on-site installation & commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and assessment of GIS products and on-site training for customers independently and implement safety rules, safety practices and environmental responsibilities, report unsafe practices and behavior.
· You will compile the project implementation plan and organize the site work according to the plan content and provide project site plan and reach agreement with customers and share product knowledge and experience with colleagues, responsible and team work together for on-time and on-cost project delivery, according to customer needs, complete the development and implementation of equipment maintenance plan.
· You will provide suggestions for product and quality improvement proactively & understand the project technical contract service contents, identify service risks and opportunities and ensure all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, the document handling system is maintained, and the latest revisions are used for the maintenance work on site.
· You will abide by the company's rules and regulations strictly, because the company arranged work should be unconditional implementation.
· You must have good communication skills to build and sustain relationships with colleagues, vendors, and customers and are willing to travel globally for short or long business trips when necessary. You are willing to work outside of normal business hours, when necessary, occasionally.
· You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
· You hold Electrical or Mechanical engineering bachelor graduates.
· Minimum 5 years of Service Experience in Power and Utility sectors with focus on switchgear above 6.6kV, preferably on GIS product.
· Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in service, maintenance, commissioning and repair of electrical specific products.
· Preferably should have good practical ability and high attention to details, willing to learn and improve knowledge and skills, and have good teamwork and communication skills.
· Sufficiently skillful with Office software skills.
· Fluent in listening, verbal, reading & writing in English
