Job description

Weber Food Technology has been active in the food processing industry since more than 40 years. Over the years, we have established ourselves as the market leader in slicing and as one of the world’s leading system providers for automation and packaging technology.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Tasks

  • Perform installation, field service, and provide basic technical training to end-users (local and overseas) in the Food Processing Industry.

  • Provide remote troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and technical guidance to end-users via email and/or phone.

  • Offer technical support to partners across the ASIA region.

Service Operations

  • Escalate quality issues, market dynamics, and field-related concerns to the Service Management Team.

  • Ensure service procedures align with company standards and customer satisfaction goals.

Customer Support & Communication

  • Manage support cases through various communication channels, including hotline, email, online forms, chatbot, portal, and case management systems.

  • Conduct initial troubleshooting following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Escalate complex cases to higher support tiers and track progress to ensure resolution within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

  • Identify and report recurring issues or emerging customer trends to the team leader.

Requirements

  • Must have permanent working rights with no restrictions in Singapore.

  • At least Higher NITEC in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, or those with strong practical experience in machinery trouble shooting may apply.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams.

  • At least 1 - 2 years of relevant industry experience in technical support or engineering role.

  • Working experience in meat (non-halal) processing facilities, especially on slicing equipment, will be advantageous.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team.
