Working hours: 09:00 to 17:30 (Monday to Friday)

Salary: up to $3,800/$4,000 (depending on experience)

Our client, a leading Japanese manufacturer in the lighting industry, is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their Singapore team.

Job Description

• Provide on-site technical care for clients, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Address and resolve customer issues and inquiries promptly
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment
• Strive to acquire up-to-date technical skills and knowledge to keep pace with industry advancements
• Communicate effectively with clients and the Japan headquarter to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
• Assist in planning and executing field service projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
• Work closely with the technical team in Japan to provide high-end services to clients
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience as an electrical engineer or mechanical engineer
• Experience in the semiconductor industry, especially with printed circuit boards or packaging substrates, is a great advantage
• Japanese speaking ability is a great advantage for communication with Japan HQ and clients
• Ability to work independently and willingness to seek support when needed
• Willingness to travel to client sites in case of emergencies
• Familiar with troubleshooting and maintenance of large machines
