Job Description

Introduction: FSE is one of the key players who facing customers every day therefore how we communicate and respond to our customer day to day is directly impacting customer’s satisfaction which is the most important factor for SLM.

Goals: With Customer Centric mindset, focus on what is the best for customers especially in solving technical problems and earn their loyalty and that lead us to enjoy the benefit of them advocating SLM brand in the market.

Responsibility/Job description;

  • You will keep a systematic log of all machine status and provide timely service visits to all customers. You will co-ordinate with APAC CS team and HQ in Germany and ensure that service tools and parts are readily available, to avoid unnecessary delays at customers’ end and to return the same after the service visits been done.
  • Collaborate and support Distributor in your region to support their service activities as well as enhance their technical knowledge to ensure good customer satisfaction.
  • You will ensure that customer’s site is ready for installation of new machine and be responsible to assemble, align, install and commission the machines, to ensure proper operation of the machine and conduct on-site maintenance and training for customers.
  • Attend, and schedule when required, meetings with customers to discuss installation or repair status and timing.
  • You will be responsible for managing an inventory of commonly required spare parts for customers.
  • You will ensure that general safety (fire, electrical shock, powder handling etc.) safety procedures and requirement for the operation of the demonstration machine and other facilities are adhered to.
  • Occasionally work with HQ engineering team for troubleshooting which needs support from HQ.
  • Priority to support his region but occasionally international travel may require to support across APAC region by HOS’ assignment.
  • FSE’s responsibility well managing data in c4c and FSM by following up ticket process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Automation Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Practical, hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment.
  • Computer hardware/software set-up experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Experience with 3D printing technology preferred, specifically, Metal Laser Powder Bed Fusion.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems in manufacturing plants.
  • CAD software experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally if requested.
  • Ability to work independently and cope with pressure.

Relations/Reporting

  • FSE directly report to Head of Service for technical and customer service related matters.
  • FSE in SEA & ANZ region, working closely with Regional Technician Leader for daily business and scheduling and Technician Leader directly reporting to HOS.
  • FSE closely communicate/collaborate with Country Manager regarding daily business operation.
