Job summary

ASML Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and repair Cymer DUV lasers at customer sites, under strict environmental conditions. You will apply technical product expertise to diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance and ensure customer satisfaction.

Travel is required to customer sites; the role involves collaborating with colleagues, providing guidance, and reporting activities using official documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Electrical Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years' working experience for Diploma holders (semiconductor industry preferred)
• Advanced technical knowledge in optics, electronics (analog and digital), control area networks, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Minimum of 2 years experience in repairing and maintaining similar equipment and interfacing with customers
• Experience providing technical leadership and guidance to others
• Entry level candidates are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

Introduction to the job
Field Service Engineer is primarily responsible for using technical product expertise to perform field service activities associated with Cymer equipment at customer sites. Field service activities include installing, maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing Cymer DUV lasers under end user environmental conditions. A Field Service Engineer represents Cymer to the customers with confidence and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service.

• Must be able to travel, via airline and automobile.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs as a regular job duty.
• Must be able to successfully meet customer site access requirements; background checks, safety training and cleanroom access (gowning and breathing apparatus).
• Must be able to do physically repetitive and demanding work, lifting, carrying climbing, kneeling, squatting, twisting, bending standing, reaching, grasping and wrist/forearm rotation.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
