Job summary

TALENT-MERGE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Electrical Technician in Singapore to perform routine inspections, diagnose faults, and carry out wiring and component replacements.

You will assist engineers with installation, testing and commissioning, and support maintenance across various equipment and systems. The role requires a hands-on approach, reading electrical drawings, and the ability to work at customer sites, shipyards and other environments.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience in electrical servicing, maintenance, installation, or troubleshooting advantageous.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, components, and basic test instruments.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams; perform hands-on troubleshooting.
• Reliable, proactive team player with problem-solving skills and readiness for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and functional testing to ensure electrical equipment operates safely and reliably.
• Diagnose electrical faults and equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing instruments and troubleshooting methods.
• Carry out wiring, cable termination, component replacement, and other electrical repair works according to technical requirements.
• Assist engineers with equipment installation, commissioning, testing, calibration, and onboard service activities.
• Perform installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, instruments, gauges, sensors, and associated systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to support troubleshooting and maintenance work.
• Inspect electrical components and identify defective parts requiring repair or replacement.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment breakdowns and operational downtime.
• Maintain proper records of servicing activities, fault findings, repairs performed, and replacement parts used.
• Observe established safety procedures while working at customer sites, onboard vessels, shipyards, and other operational environments.
