Job summary

RMA Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced on-site commissioning engineer to support combustion equipment projects in Singapore. You will supervise installation, start-up, and commissioning of new and retrofit systems, ensuring compliance with safety and client requirements.

The role requires a strong electromechanical background, familiarity with P&IDs and schematic drawings, and the ability to work at heights and in offshore environments.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and PLC control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces and offshore environments, with a commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• On-site commissioning of new, legacy and retrofit equipment, general maintenance, troubleshooting, fault analysis and installation supervision.
• Prepare RAMS, site visit reports and timesheets for clients.
• Start up and maintain combustion products and systems including flare systems, flare gas recovery, boiler burners and process burners.
• Identify opportunities for aftermarket spares and site service support during commissioning activities.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment.

Scope of Work

• Conducting on-site commissioning of new equipment, legacy and retrofit equipment, general maintenance, troubleshooting, fault analysis, and installation supervision.
• Preparing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), site visit reports, and maintaining timesheets for submission to clients.
• Starting up and maintaining combustion products and systems, including flare systems, flare gas recovery, boiler burners, process burners, thermal oxidizers, vapour recovery systems, and associated pollution and optical control equipment.
• Identifying potential opportunities for additional aftermarket spares and site service support through service and commissioning activities.
• Adhering to the Company and customer Health and Safety Policies, promoting a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

• Technical Diploma of Electromechanical (Bachelor's degree is an added advantage )
• Strong technical background with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and PLC control systems.
• Previous experience in combustion within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industries is compulsory.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and offshore environments, with a commitment to safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
