Field Process Engineer (Semiconductor exp)

Job Description:

• Develop good customer relations during start-up and trouble-shooting; work closely with customers to understand their issues and demands.

• Evaluation and documentation of process outputs of hardware upgrades to existing systems.

• Set up and complete experiments, collect data, and generate reports for both internal and external distribution.

• Develop new processes for new applications on existing equipment at customer sites.

• Initiate escalations and quality investigations.

• Develop relationships with process engineers in other regions, especially those running similar applications.

• Perform application-related project management, which includes:

  1. Planning, conducting, and technically directing moderately complex projects.
  2. Defining problems and objectives, developing approaches, analyzing results, and providing recommendations for new and existing equipment.

• Work with senior engineers and customers to understand customer technology roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements, and business issues/challenges.

• Design and complete DOE evaluations to characterize process window for new installations or recommended field hardware modifications/upgrades.

• Develop new processes for small variants to existing customer applications.

• Provide technical instruction and mentoring for Engineer levels 1 and 2.

Requirements:

• BS in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

• Technical knowledge of deposition/etch equipment for Senior role.

• Use computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
