Job summary

Lam Research Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Field Process Engineer to serve as a customer-focused expert on Lam equipment, supporting installations, training, and design improvements. You will perform on-site support at customer wafer fabs, perform DOE studies, and help optimize process windows for new installations or hardware upgrades.

You'll collaborate with account teams to understand roadmaps, coordinate product demonstrations, startup capacity-additions, and generate reports.

Qualifications

• Master's in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related field; or BS with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Graduate eligible for the role.

The group you'll be a part of

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customersupport throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, andquality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutionsfor their most critical equipment and processes.

The impact you'll make

At Lam, as a Field Process Engineer you are a customer-focused expert on ourequipment, pushing the boundaries to meet customer needs. You play a vital rolein supporting the customer in installations, training, and identifying designimprovements with product groups. Your portfolio includes providing on-sitesupport at customer sites which include being familiar with customer waferfabrication processing flow and techniques, addressing potential integrationchallenges with systems which impact or are being impacted earlier or later in theprocess flow. This includes Design of Experiment (DOE), process evaluation anddocumentation of process outputs relating to hardware installations, medications /upgrades to existing systems.

What you'll do

• Work closely with Account team and customers to understand customertechnology roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements andbusiness issues / challenges. Identify areas where Lam is able to value-add.
• Work with Account team and customers to execute to penetration and defensestrategy, including coordinating with Global Product Group on productdemonstration
• Perform startup of "capacity add" Lam systems i.e. match results to existingsystems and applications
• Design and complete simple DOE evaluations to characterize process windowfor new installations or Lam recommended field hardware modifications /upgrades
• Conduct experiments and tests, collect and analyze data and generate reportsfor both internal and external distribution
• Develop new processes to new and/or existing customer applications
• Professionally represent the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge ofcompany's product lines and services to keep existing / potential customersinformed when new/additional needs are identified
• Develop good customer relations during start-up and trouble-shooting
• Maintain company's assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic testequipment, spare parts etc) in good working condition, secure and accountedfor
• Ensure safe working condition at work site
• Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Who we're looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters of Science in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; orBachelors of Science with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• This is a graduate eligible role.
• Systematic and has an analytical mindset
• Good communication and interpersonal relations skill
• Able to actively engage customers on technical solutions
• Able to work in Fab environment and perform standby duties
• Must be able to wear personal protective clothing which comprises of airrespirator equipment, clean room garments and safety shoes
• Willing to support short term, overseas assignment

Preferred qualifications

• In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design ofExperiments (DOE).
• Foundational analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
