Field Engineer
We are seeking a suitable candidate to join our Services Team as a Field Application Engineer, supporting the expansion of our wireless lighting control system integration services.
Key Responsibilities
System Installation & Programming
- Install lighting control systems according to design specifications and project requirements.
- Set up wiring and connect control panels, dimmers, sensors, and other system components.
- Program and configure systems to achieve optimal lighting effects, energy efficiency, and user-specific needs.
- Customize control interfaces (e.g., touch panels, mobile apps, computer software) to ensure user-friendly operation.
Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct comprehensive testing to verify full functionality of installed systems.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies during the testing phase.
- Commission systems to ensure performance aligns with design and client expectations.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve issues in lighting control systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance to ensure reliability and performance.
- Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of configurations, programming codes, and modifications.
- Provide user documentation and training to ensure smooth system operation and basic troubleshooting.
Customer Support
- Deliver technical support and respond to client queries effectively.
- Offer insights and suggestions for system upgrades or improvements based on evolving user needs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with Casambi lighting control systems is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of lighting control protocols (e.g., DMX, DALI, or proprietary systems) is a plus.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability on-site.
- High level of precision and attention to detail during installation and programming.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and industry developments.
- Experience with smart lighting systems and products
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of energy efficiency standards and sustainable lighting practices.
