Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in electronics/semiconductor industry.
• Edge AI, MCU, and analog power electronics knowledge and interest.

Responsibilities

• Drive design-in activities and technical product promotion with customers.
• Develop new customer accounts and identify demand creation opportunities.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend semiconductor and electronic solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting through evaluation and design-in stages.
• Coordinate with suppliers to promote technical products.
• Conduct technical presentations, seminars, demonstrations and training for customers.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support customers in evaluating and adopting new technologies and products.
• Keep up to date with Edge AI, MCU, Analog and Power technologies.

An established technology company specialising in electronic components and semiconductor solutions is looking for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support customers, develop new design-in opportunities and promote innovative semiconductor technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electronics engineering professional looking to build a career in Field Application Engineering, semiconductor solutions and technical customer support, with exposure to Edge AI, Microcontroller (MCU), Analog and Power technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive design-in activities and technical product promotion with customers.
• Develop new customer accounts and identify demand creation opportunities.
• Understand customer application requirements and recommend suitable semiconductor and electronic solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers throughout product evaluation and design-in stages.
• Work closely with suppliers to coordinate and support technical product promotion activities.
• Conduct technical presentations, seminars, product demonstrations and training for customers.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support customers in evaluating and adopting new technologies and products.
• Keep up to date with developments in Edge AI, Microcontrollers (MCU), Analog and Power technologies.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective technical support and follow-up.
• Travel overseas when required for customer visits, supplier meetings, training and technical activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in the electronics, semiconductor or related industry.
• Application knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Edge AI (Must), Microcontrollers (MCU), Analog Power Electronics
