About the role

UP Communications Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled Fiber Field Technician to join our growing team. This full-time role is based in the Eastern part of Singapore, and will involve hands-on work installing and maintaining fiber optic networks to ensure reliable internet connectivity in the Telecommunication Industry.

What you'll be doing

• Perform safe and efficient installations of fiber optic cables and related CPE equipment

• Troubleshoot and maintenance on issues with existing fiber optic networks

• Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and provide excellent service

• Maintain detailed records of all work completed

• Stay up-to-date with the latest fiber optic technologies and installation best practices

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Fiber Field Technician or similar role in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering industry

• Experience Candidate in the Telecommunication Industry.

• Technical knowledge of fiber optic network infrastructure and installation procedures

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve network issues

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and team members

• Ability to work safely and follow all relevant health and safety guidelines

• Willingness to learn and keep up with evolving fiber optic technologies

• Experience in Telecom Transmission Technology (MSAN, SDH, Battery Charger, GPON)

• Candidate must be able to speak and write in English.

• Candidate must possess own motorcycle/vehicle
