Job description

We are looking for a strategic and detail-driven Feeder Optimization Manager to join a global shipping team based in Singapore. This role is key to enhancing feeder network performance and cost efficiency. You will work cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and marketing teams to strengthen service offerings and ensure competitive positioning in global feeder markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global feeder strategies that improve service quality and operational efficiency, while aligning with broader commercial goals.
  • Monitor market trends and feeder performance to recommend optimal routing solutions, direct call options, or slot changes that enhance competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with feeder operators globally to secure favorable rates, space, and service reliability.
  • Review and update SOPs for feeder operations; coordinate internally and with agents to ensure process consistency and clarity.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities by benchmarking feeder costs, optimizing laden/empty flows, and proposing network adjustments.
  • Analyze monthly feeder spend, track key performance metrics, and produce reports with actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee cost validation and vendor payment processes, resolve discrepancies, support system implementation, and ensure process compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to explore synergies, develop new partnerships, and enhance solutions

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in feeder operations, shipping lines, or maritime network planning would be preferred.
  • Strong analytical and commercial negotiation skills.
  • Experience in cost management and service optimization.
