Job summary

BOTSYNC PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Robotics/Automation Engineer to drive on-site installation, commissioning, and post-go-live support for AMR systems across customer sites in Singapore and beyond.

You will troubleshoot, optimize, and train customer personnel while collaborating with internal teams. Willingness to travel and strong problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in robotics, automation, or industrial systems.
• Hands-on experience with AMRs, ROS/ROS2, PLCs, or similar technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and willingness to travel for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and activation of automation systems at customer locations.
• Conduct system and safety checks to ensure regulations compliance and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AMRs, ROS, PLCs, and associated software.
• Provide training to customer personnel on AMR operations and maintenance procedures.
• Document commissioning processes with deployment details, checklists, photos, and SAT reports.
• Develop improvements to AMR performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with customers' operations or maintenance teams.
• Coordinate with remote support for handover during hypercare phase.
• Update weekly progress reports with challenges and resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance quarterly and replace components as needed.
• Identify safety issues and notify the team lead for proactive action.
• Travel to customer locations domestically and overseas as required.

Own on-site execution of automation projects, including installation, commissioning and system readiness at customer locations.

Key Responsibility #2

Ensure successful deployment and post-go-live support by coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Job Description

• Oversee the installation and activation of Automation systems at customer locations.
• Conduct thorough system and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AMRs, ROS navigation, plc's and associated software.
• Provide comprehensive training to customer personnel on AMR operations and maintenance procedures.
• Document commissioning processes and maintain detailed records, including deployment details, checklists, photos, and SAT reports.
• Identify and propose potential improvements to AMR performance and user experience.
• Develop relations with customers' operations or maintenance teams.
• Participate in monthly KT sessions on version upgrades and bug-fixes
• Coordinate with the remote support team for an efficient handover of projects during the hypercare phase.
• Update weekly reports regularly, highlighting progress, challenges, and resolutions
• Perform preventive maintenance of systems every quarter and replace components if necessary.
• Predict and notify the team lead of any safety issues to be addressed on-site, ensuring a proactive approach.
• Travel to customer locations, domestic and overseas, as and when required.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Computer, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or related fields)
• 3 - 5 years of experience in robotics, automation, or industrial systems
• Hands-on experience with AMRs, ROS/ROS2, PLCs, or similar technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in on-site environments
• Good communication skills for customer interaction and training
• Willingness to travel frequently
