We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fashion Design Trainer to join our creative faculty. The trainer will be responsible for delivering hands-on training in fashion design, including concept development, garment construction, textile knowledge, illustration, and digital design tools. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the fashion industry, combined with a flair for teaching and mentoring students toward creative and industry-ready outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and practical training in areas such as:
- Fashion sketching & illustration (manual and digital)
- Pattern drafting and garment construction
- Draping techniques and textile knowledge
- Fashion history, styling, and trend forecasting
- Portfolio development and presentation skills
- Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with industry standards and curriculum objectives.
- Guide and evaluate student design projects and final collections.
- Stay updated with industry trends and integrate real-world insights into lessons.
- Mentor students on career paths, internships, and competitions.
- Collaborate with the academic team to enhance the learning experience.
- Organize or support fashion shows, exhibitions, and workshops.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- ACLP/ACTA certified.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in the fashion industry or fashion education.
- Strong skills in both manual and digital design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO3D).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Passionate about mentoring and nurturing creative talent.
- Preferred) Prior teaching or training experience in an academic or vocational setting.
