Job summary

Seagate Technology in Singapore Woodlands is seeking an Engineering Specialist for Failure Analysis Processes. You will perform physical failure analysis on disks, apply microscopy and surface techniques, and support production line conversions.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset. Clean room work and 12-hour rotating shifts are involved.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related engineering diploma.
• Self-motivated with a positive working attitude.
• Team player with good problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in a clean room environment.
• Willing to work on a 12-hour rotating day/night shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• SAH (send Ahead) yield monitoring and alert process engineering on SAH yield issue.
• Physical failure disk analysis and various FA techniques (morphology, microscopy, AFM, optical, candela).
• Production line conversion buy-off, teach points, ID_OD crack, MDW OD ding, tagging inspection.
• Support engineering activities and improvement evaluations; FA comparisons of baselines vs evos or new products.
• Data analysis on line instability to identify root causes; first level data entry into FA database.
• Coordinate logistics for FA samples and maintain lab conditions for equipment and samples.
