Job summary
A leading company in food manufacturing is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage preventive and corrective maintenance of their systems. This role involves maintaining operational efficiency, managing records, and responding to faults, with a requirement to work shifts. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical/mechanical engineering with relevant experience in facilities management.
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management is essential.
- Willing to work shifts as per roster, including night shifts.
- Ability to inform superiors of faults and work under varying conditions.

- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities and systems.
- Attend day-to-day operations and emergency repairs.

Job Description:
- Carry out in-house preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for all facilities, buildings and services system.
- Attend to day-to-day maintenance operations for all facilities, building and services system.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance checklists and documentations.
- Liaising and coordinating with contractors for routine servicing and emergency repair in order to keep all the above systems in operational state.
- Perform standby / duty to attend to system fault during or after office hours, weekends and public holidays when needed.
- Minimize all facilities, building and services downtime during operation.
- Log, update and maintain all facilities, building and services spare parts, tools and instruments.
- To be able to work under sub-zero environment and no phobia of heights.
- To inform immediate superiors/duty personnel for all faults/alarms/abnormalities for all systems.
- To learn and maintain any other new/additional systems not mentioned above as assigned by Head of Department.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by Facility Engineers/Assistant Engineers
Job Requirement:
- Min NITEC In electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years’ relevant working experience in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management
- Willingness to perform shift work, 5 days workweek from Monday to Sunday will be rostered 8 am to 6 pm OR 8 pm to 6 am. OT payable beyond 44 hours/week.
