Job summary

A leading company in food manufacturing is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage preventive and corrective maintenance of their systems. This role involves maintaining operational efficiency, managing records, and responding to faults, with a requirement to work shifts. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical/mechanical engineering with relevant experience in facilities management.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management is essential.
  • Willing to work shifts as per roster, including night shifts.
  • Ability to inform superiors of faults and work under varying conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities and systems.
  • Attend day-to-day operations and emergency repairs.
  • Log and maintain records of spare parts and tools.

Job description

Job Description:

  • Carry out in-house preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for all facilities, buildings and services system.
  • Attend to day-to-day maintenance operations for all facilities, building and services system.
  • Maintain proper records of maintenance checklists and documentations.
  • Liaising and coordinating with contractors for routine servicing and emergency repair in order to keep all the above systems in operational state.
  • Perform standby / duty to attend to system fault during or after office hours, weekends and public holidays when needed.
  • Minimize all facilities, building and services downtime during operation.
  • Log, update and maintain all facilities, building and services spare parts, tools and instruments.
  • To be able to work under sub-zero environment and no phobia of heights.
  • To inform immediate superiors/duty personnel for all faults/alarms/abnormalities for all systems.
  • To learn and maintain any other new/additional systems not mentioned above as assigned by Head of Department.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by Facility Engineers/Assistant Engineers

Job Requirement:

  • Min NITEC In electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years’ relevant working experience in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management
  • Willingness to perform shift work, 5 days workweek from Monday to Sunday will be rostered 8 am to 6 pm OR 8 pm to 6 am. OT payable beyond 44 hours/week.
