Job summary

Thales Singapore is seeking a Facility Engineer to lead sustainability and facility management activities across the site. You will oversee energy and water conservation programs, manage building systems, and drive improvements to safety, reliability, and environmental performance.

You will coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders to plan and execute infrastructure projects, monitor KPIs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities management, building services, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, and building services.
• Experience managing contractors and projects.

The role leads facility engineering activities, contractor management, regulatory compliance, and facility and infrastructure improvement projects in alignment with operational and business objectives. It also drives sustainability and resource efficiency initiatives, including energy conservation, carbon reduction, waste management, and green technologies, to improve environmental performance and support corporate sustainability goals while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to improve environmental performance and resource efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for energy conservation, carbon reduction, waste minimization, water efficiency, and sustainable technology adoption.
• Monitor sustainability performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company policies, and management system requirements.
• Manage the operation, maintenance, and improvement of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Monitor facility performance and implement corrective and preventive actions to address operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Plan and coordinate facility improvement, infrastructure enhancement, workplace, and real estate projects.
• Support project planning, design reviews, budgeting, procurement, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Monitor and analyze energy, water, and utility consumption to identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct energy assessments and implement conservation and efficiency improvement programs.
• Establish performance benchmarks and KPIs to drive continual improvement.
• Manage contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to achieve facility, project, and sustainability objectives.
• Support budgeting and cost management for facility operations, maintenance, projects, utilities, and sustainability initiatives.
• Report on facility performance, project progress, resource consumption, and sustainability outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through performance analysis, emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory developments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building services, engineering operations, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in building systems, utilities, infrastructure, project management, and contractor management.
• Experience in sustainability, energy management, or environmental programs is advantageous.
• Singapore Certified Energy Manager (Professional CEM) certification is highly advantageous.
• Additional qualifications in sustainability, energy management, environmental management, or related disciplines are beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, BMS, building services, and facility maintenance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good understanding of safety, environmental, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
