Job description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Facility Maintenance Specialist to join the Starline Team in Tuas, Singapore. The Maintenance Specialist/Engineer will ensure optimum reliability and functionality for Legrand Starline facilities, grounds, manufacturing equipment, and fleet.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of facility maintenance.
• Lead the preventative maintenance program, developing procedures and schedules, ensuring maintenance, repair work and construction projects are completed.
• Ensure facility maintenance through landscaping and custodial contractors.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical problems and determine best course of action; support production in troubleshooting complex machinery failures.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments.
• Ensure all company vehicles comply with DOT regulations.
• Read and interpret facility blueprints, order parts, supplies, and equipment, and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Manage fire and security systems (including off‑site).
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure job requirements meet Legrand standards of safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, 5S and budgetary goals.
• Provide all reporting requirements within the department and other requested from management.
• Ability to learn and work in all departments as needed.
• Additional duties as required by management.

Education

Minimum Diploma or equivalent work experience.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Work‑and‑height certified.

• Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Exposure to heights over 10 feet off the ground.
• Exposure to confined spaces.
