Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to oversee equipment inspections and routine maintenance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role involves troubleshooting malfunctions, leading a technical team, and ensuring optimal operation of all machinery with minimal downtime. Job Description:

• Responding to Department breakdown calls

• Traveling to Company facilities for equipment inspection & breakdown request

• Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance. (Preventive Maintenance)

• Inspect & Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions

• Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment

• Removing old equipment and installing new machines

• Inspect and ensure all equipment run optimally with minimal downtime

• Source for reliable vendors and supervise the equipment and facilities maintenance/repair/installation carried out by vendors

• Maintain the facilities/factories maintenance schedules and ensure safe operation of the facility

• Plan and coordinate all maintenance/repairs/ installation work for the equipment and facilities

• Review daily work orders and provide reports

• Undertake planned comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for equipment and system facilities/ infrastructures

• Keep proper maintenance records and ensure proper data collection

• Provide technical support and training on new equipment.

• Lead, train and supervise technical team personnel to build up their competencies and ensure assigned work is completed in a timely manner meeting the requirements

• Adhere to all safety and performance regulations

• Establish & maintain the risk assessment process, including identified hazards, assessed risks, and implemented control measures

• Establish & maintain a systematic and orderly evacuation plan during fire emergency

• Establish maintenance procedures and protocols, oversee maintenance process audits

• To forecast and manage budget, identify current and future maintenance requirements and develop strategic plan for system overhauls and upgrades, and provide cost-effective solutionsinthelongrun

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

  1. Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or related field

  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a plant and machinery engineering or similar role

  3. Good knowledge with hands-on experience on food manufacturing processing equipment, refrigeration and electrical systems

  4. Experience in managing and leading a team of maintenance personnel

  5. Good problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex issues

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
