Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Facility Engineer to ensure the safety, efficiency, and smooth operation of our 7 storeys building infrastructure located at Sungei Kadut Street 2. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS), Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, and fire safety compliance, along with proven experience in team supervision and tenant coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Building Management System (BMS), Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning (MVAC), electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance
  • Maintain and supervise the upkeep of landscape areas and fish pond to preserve environmental quality and aesthetics.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules across all building systems and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for all building systems.
  • Supervise 2 Facility Assistants and 2 Cleaners; ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Oversee outsourced security guard operations and ensure adherence to building safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with tenants on operational safety guidelines and compliance matters.
  • Lead fire safety initiatives and conduct drills (must be certified as Fire Safety Manager).
  • Ensure smart security features, including door and elevator access control systems and video surveillance, are functioning securely and efficiently.
  • Monitor energy usage and recommend improvements for sustainability.
  • Prepare weekly reports on maintenance activities, team performance, and incident logs.

Requirements

· Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management.

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building operations and maintenance.

· Strong knowledge of BMS, M&E systems, and fire safety protocols.

· Proficiency in data analysis and diagnostic tools for system performance monitoring.

· Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certification required.

· Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders, contractors, and tenants.

· Leadership and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Able to start work with short notice

· Permanent position

6 days’ week with alternate Saturday off

(Monday – Saturday, 9.00am – 6.00pm)
