Job summary

Vanguard Healthcare Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Facility Assistant (Laundry) to support the laundering, folding, and delivery of resident linen for the Vanguard Care Home.

The role involves coordinating transport, maintaining machinery, and ensuring hygienic, well-labelled apparel and fabrics for residents. You will support the OSA and OSE and contribute to a safe, clean laundry area while upholding reliability and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Carry out laundry collection and distribution.
• Pre-treat heavily soiled linen.
• Ironing and folding of linen.
• Label residents’ clothing clearly.
• Handle washers, dryers and chemicals safely.
• Repair and sew torn linen/clothes when required.
• Report maintenance deficiencies to the OSE.
• Keep laundry supplies adequate and area clean.

Working Location: Vanguard Care Home (Senja) / (Tampines)

The Facility Assistant (Laundry) (FA-L) will support the Operations Support Assistant (OSA) and Operations Support Executive (OSE) to ensure and maintain the proper laundering, folding, and delivery of resident-related linen, clothing, curtains, maintenance of machinery, and coordinating of transport services to ensure timely exchange and delivery of soiled/clean linen.

Job Description

• Carry out appropriate laundry collection and distribution
• Carry out pre-treatment of heavily soiled linen
• Carry out ironing and folding of linen
• Ensure clear labelling of residents’ clothing
• Ensure proper handling of washers, dryers, and chemicals
• Repair and sew torn linen/clothes when required
• Report any maintenance deficiencies detected within the laundry area to the OSE
• Ensure laundry supplies are adequate to meet the daily needs of the Care Home
• Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions and in clean and hygienic states
• Ensure that laundry tools/equipment are cleansed and properly stored after usage
• To assist with laundry count/audit

Educational Requirements

• Primary education or equivalent
