Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Technician to ensure the normal operation of hotel equipment and support the Engineering department's maintenance team. You will handle daily power, water, heating and cooling systems, inspect records, and carry out preventive tasks.

This role requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, with a focus on safety, energy efficiency, and reliable service across guest rooms and public areas.

Qualifications

• Familiar with operation principles and fault judgment methods for large data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, fire, security, monitoring, network).
• Willing to be posted for day and night shifts for long periods and study when needed.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Strictly adhere to rules and regulations set by superiors.
• Ensure normal operation of hotel power, water, gas, heating and cooling equipment.
• Inspect operation records and handover records promptly and accurately.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and facilities under your jurisdiction.
• Conserve energy and monitor energy consumption.
• Coordinate maintenance works for guest rooms, events, and public areas including back of house.
• Test generators to ensure power during outages.

Position Statement

The Technician cooperates with his/ her superior to ensure the normal operation of hotel equipment. This role is responsible for the general work order maintenance work assigned by his / her superior or assisting the Engineering department’s maintenance team in completing other maintenance work.

What will I be doing?

• Strictly adhere to team members rules and regulations, the Management and commands from superiors.
• Follows the rules and regulations on safe operation of the equipment.
• Ensure the normal operation of the hotel's daily power supply, water supply, gas supply, heating and cooling equipment.
• Inspect the equipment operation records and shift handover records promptly and accurately.
• Inspect and maintain the equipment and facilities under your jurisdiction.
• Save energy and control energy consumption.
• To act on and follow-up with maintenance works for guest rooms, event space and public area including back of house.
• Regularly test run the generator as required to ensure power generation and transmission performs normally during power failure.
• Inspect the hotel’s Fire alarm and protection system preventive maintenance works and take proper measures to stop any violation of the fire prevention works.
• To maintain record on withdrawal of working tools upon usage.
• Monitor and track work requests timely completion.
• Flexible and able to work on shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Familiar with the operation principle and fault judgment method of large data centre infrastructure (power supply, air conditioning, fire control, security, monitoring, network, etc.).
• Willing to be engaged in the monitoring post for day shift and night shift for a long period and have enough time to study.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism and learning ability.
• Active and motivated in work, with a good sense of service.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently.
