An innovative institute is seeking a Facilities & Safety Operations Manager to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance across critical infrastructure. Salary Range: $3,400 to $5,000 (commensurate based on experience)
Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable or convertible to permanent based on performance and business needs)
Work Location: 5 to 10 min bus ride from Ang Mo Kio or Yio Chu Kang MRT
Work Hours: 8.30am to 6pm (Monday to Thursday), 8.30am to 5.30pm (Friday)
Background:
Our client is an institute dedicated to supporting national initiatives in environmental health through research and innovation. You will be part of the Facility & Safety Management Section, supporting critical infrastructure across research laboratories and specialised production facilities.
The Facilities & Safety Operations Manager will focus on ensuring operational readiness, safety compliance, and sustainability standards, while also contributing to facility enhancements and corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day facility operations and coordinate maintenance activities
Work closely with vendors and contractors to ensure safe and timely execution of works
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and support implementation of WSH programmes
Maintain regulatory permits and ensure compliance with safety, chemical, and biological regulations
Support facility upgrades, expansion efforts, and sustainability initiatives
Manage contract documentation and vendor performance
Assist in administrative tasks and participate in corporate projects as needed
Requirements:
Minimum Degree or higher in engineering, facilities management, environmental health, or a related field
Relevant experience in facilities management, particularly in laboratory or production environments
Knowledge of air conditioning and ventilation (ACMV) systems
Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, including risk assessment practices
