Job description

Facility Maintenance:

  • Manage Building environment, functionality, comfortability, security & safety and efficiency
  • Manage both hardware and software of Mosque ICT System
  • Provide support to Corporate Service Unit in implementing and maintaining Mosque's infrastructure, facilities, equipment and tools, in compliance with legislation and policies
  • Conduct routine inspections of the Mosque facilities to identify maintenance needs
  • Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical and general building repairs.

Safety and Security:

  • Implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of worshippers, staff, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or issues promptly.
  • Monitor security systems and equipment, such as alarms and surveillance cameras

Event Support:

  • Assist in setting up and organizing events held within the Mosque premises, including religious ceremonies, community gatherings, and educational programs.
  • Coordinate with event organizers to ensure facilities meet event requirements and provide logistical support as needed.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials needed for facility maintenance and operations.
  • Procure necessary supplies and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Liaise with Mosque leadership, staff, and volunteers to understand facility needs and priorities
  • Communicate effectively with external contractors, vendors, and service providers to coordinate maintenance and repairs.

Supporting Roles:

Mosque Activities:

  • Assist and participate to execute in whole-of-mosque initiatives and activities (i.e. : Special committee, Mosque Islamic events celebration, Cluster based program)
  • Provide general administration for the unit & perform any duties as assigned by Head of Department
