A telecommunications services company seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician (Electrical Lead) for permanent placement. The role involves installing and maintaining electrical systems and HVAC within a data center. Ideal candidates have a background in Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management with several years of relevant experience.

Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician (Electrical Lead)
Working Location: New Tech Park & Techlink
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (9am – 6pm), Alternate Saturday

Key Responsibilities
Install low voltage electrical systems such as Tap Off units, intelligent PDUs for IT racks, lighting, power sockets, CEE outlets, and associated cabling, including cable termination, testing, and system commissioning.
Conduct annual inspections of earthing and lightning protection systems, perform thermal imaging scans of switchboards under the guidance of a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) or authorized personnel, and prepare related thermal scan reports.
Support managers in executing 3 to 5 scheduled annual power shutdowns or Integrated System Tests (IST) for the data centre.
Carry out routine daily, weekly, and monthly facility inspections, including no-load testing of generators.
Undertake scheduled maintenance for HVAC and ventilation systems in the data centre, such as cooling towers, pumps, CRAH units, fan walls, chilled water and direct expansion FCUs, condensers, and mechanical ventilation fans; responsibilities include cleaning, lubrication of components, and monitoring alignment and vibration.
Address BMS-generated alarms and provide guidance to operations technicians in resetting and resolving alarm issues.
Maintain and update asset records, Method of Procedure (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inspection logs, and reports on space, power, and cooling capacities, as well as prepare maintenance schedules and facility service reports.
Oversee maintenance work conducted by OEM vendors, ensuring their performance meets standards and due diligence is observed.
Supervise and provide training to a team of at least four junior technicians, ensuring competency in all assigned duties.

Minimum ITE in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
At least 3-5 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or facilities management.
Solid understanding of low voltage systems, power distribution, and HVAC/ventilation systems.
Experience in critical environments (e.g. Data Centre / Cleanroom / Semi-conductor plant) is an added advantage.
