Job summary

Certis is seeking a Fire Safety Manager to oversee M&E building services, soft services, and fire safety compliance in Singapore. The role covers managing preventive maintenance, reviewing contractor submissions, and driving energy efficiency while ensuring safety and regulatory adherence.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma in building services, hands-on experience with ACMV systems, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services with facilities management focus (5 years experience).
• Experience in M&E building services and ACMV.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and asset management.
• Experience managing hard and soft services.
• Familiarity with regulations and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; BIM/CAFM tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation, maintenance, and performance of M&E systems incl. ACMV, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of M&E systems.
• Review drawings, maintenance records, method statements, and contractor submissions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safety regulations.
• Support upgrading, replacement, and improvement projects for building systems.
• Monitor energy consumption and drive efficiency and sustainability.
• Oversee daily facilities management operations and asset lifecycle planning.
• Coordinate external service providers; monitor SLAs and KPIs.
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies and procedures.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and performance analyses.
• Manage soft service contracts: cleaning, landscaping, pest control, waste, security.
• Monitor contractor performance and address feedback promptly.
• Ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform Fire Safety Manager duties and coordinate fire safety plans.
