Job summary

Raffles Concrete is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Singapore-based team. You will ensure safety procedures on site, oversee contractor compliance, and develop method statements and risk assessments for on-site works.

You will review technical drawings, coordinate with Professional Engineers, manage regulatory submissions, verify construction per design, and support handover to operations. The role requires 1–2 years of engineering experience and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of engineering experience.
• Firm grasp of engineering concepts and mechanical design experience.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight schedules.
• Knowledge of local safety regulations.
• Possess a Class 3 driving license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and health procedures at the project site at all times.
• Ensure contractors comply with safety procedures at site.
• Develop Method Statement and Risk Assessment for works.
• Review and develop technical drawings for projects.
• Coordinate with Professional Engineer to ensure designs are sound.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions before and after works.
• Verify construction matches design plans.
• Ensure facilities are constructed per design plans.
• Develop project work schedule and update superiors.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors to meet timelines.
• Update progress status regularly.
• Test and commission batching plant site before handover.
• Handover facilities to Operations team.
