  • Oversee all new installation of production equipment and be actively involved in fab tools layout, to maximize space utilization and minimize facilities cost.

  • Work closely with Industrial Engineering (IE) team and end users to define project intention and translate it into installed system to meet the its function and performance.

  • Liaise with end user/IE to define the scope of work, work methods, technical specifications of the services.

  • Coordinate for any new tools and utilities hook up, move in, and tools relocation activities.

  • Formulate & implement operating procedures to ensure optimum operation of systems

  • Monitor & review system performance and capacity usage as well as provide regular reports, so as to recommend & implement improvement/enhancement projects.

  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising subcontractors works on site to ensure compliance to internal Safety guidelines and jobs specification.

  • Manage contractors for expansion and improvement projects and ensure timely completion and within safety and quality standard.

  • Prepare and update all site reports and closely monitor the progress of the project including submission of weekly report to management.

  • Participant in technical/ engineering evaluation of all bidding packages with Purchasing.

  • Perform project cost estimation and generate Request For Quote (RFQ) for bidding.

  • Drive new materials & second source materials qualifications for cost optimization.

  • Carry out repair and troubleshooting of systems in order to restore systems to their operating conditions in the shortest possible time.

Education and Job Requirements

  • Degree in any related Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical field with a minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a semiconductor or high volume manufacturing environment

  • Able to review AutoCAD layout and hookup drawing

  • Possess good project management skills, e.g. able to identify critical path and well verse in Project planning.

  • Good supervision and management skill especially in contractor management.

  • Possess good supervision and management for Project Safety execution and Code compliance especially like working at height, hoisting & Hot Work.

  • Possess strong proficiency in MS Powerpoint/ Excel application is needed. Familiarity with authorities’ requirements will be an added advantage.
