The purpose of this role is to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of our Facilities suppliers, ensuring effective supplier performance, driving continuous improvement and adherence to governance standards. This role includes oversight of contract negotiations (alongside Procurement), execution, and administration while mitigating risks and resolving disputes. This role also includes generating data-driven insights and reports to track contract performance and support strategic decision-making, ensuring that supplier relationships align with business needs.

Responsibilities

Manage commercials and contracts:

  • Be the lead for all Procurement exercises relating to new or extending contracts for Dyson Global Facilities, managing the prioritization of requirements and the governance process for contracts, ensuring needs of the business are met
  • Manage the drafting, reviewing and maintaining of various contracts and ensure accurate and timely contract execution
  • Identify any required contract changes and manage the drafting and reviewing of any contract changes, ensuring accurate and timely execution
  • Identify constraints and opportunities when negotiating or renegotiating
  • Provide commercial and contractual SME knowledge
  • Identify and manage contract risks, implementing mitigation strategies
  • Resolve contract disputes effectively and efficiently
  • Oversee the mobilization of new contracts, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Contribute to successful supplier relationship management, liaising with the supplier when necessary regarding any contractual concerns or other required contractual communication, navigating any difficult communications
  • Oversee and measure fulfilment of key performance indicators to monitor performance and raise if performance levels are not being met
  • Propose and managing the implementation of supplier improvement actions where there is under-performance or compliance failures
  • Ensure there is a clear escalation path for resolving issues, and ensure any issues are raised at an early stage
  • Work closely with regional leads to understand whether the contract is working well and ensure any points of escalation are covered via the agreed supplier relationship management governance
  • Represent supplier performance at the relevant governance forums

Generate data and reporting:

  • Generate and analyze supplier performance data to ensure supplier performance is properly monitored and to identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement
  • Generate comprehensive management reports, highlighting key performance indicators and proposing corrective action as needed. Keep track of contract versions, amendments and key milestones
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to address performance gaps, introduce innovation and enhance efficiency

Ensure adherence to standards:

  • Identify and assess risks in the supply chain related to supplier performance or relationships and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that suppliers comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and contractual agreements
