Job description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ACMV/HVAC air-conditioning systems and ensure daily thermal comfort is within acceptable limits.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities, reallocating resources when required.
  • Lead a team of technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient execution of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks.
  • Ensure all works comply with quality standards, health, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with contractors for installation, maintenance, and rectification works; check completed work for compliance and safety.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of systems and equipment within the facility.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis for equipment faults or abnormalities; provide updates, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct technical investigations, prepare reports, and propose solutions for breakdowns or faults.
  • Maintain complete documentation of maintenance procedures, reports, and records.
  • Provide project status updates to supervisors, managers, technicians, and relevant departments.
  • Carry out ad-hoc projects, assignments, or repair works as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Air-Conditioning, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management or ACMV/HVAC works.
  • Hands-on experience with FCU (Fan Coil Units) and AHU (Air Handling Units) preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction principles, building processes, and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety, with good WSH practices and behaviours.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
