Job summary

TRANS ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks a drafting professional to translate engineer sketches into detailed 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings for metal fabrication and interior fit-out projects. You will ensure compliance with standards, reflect project changes, and support production with accurate BOMs in ERP systems.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required, with 1–5+ years in manufacturing or fabrication environments. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, ACMV, or fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineer sketches into detailed 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings for fabrication teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, material constraints, and safety regulations to maintain quality and safety.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and clients to reflect project changes accurately.
• Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) using ERP systems to support production planning and material procurement.
• Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create and modify technical drawings.

Produce detailed shop and as-built drawings for metal or interior fitting-out fabrication projects, ensuring technical compliance and coordination with engineers and project teams to support accurate manufacturing and production.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineer sketches and specifications into detailed 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings for fabrication teams
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, material constraints, and safety regulations to maintain quality and safety
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and clients to reflect project changes accurately
• Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) using ERP systems to support production planning and material procurement
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, proficiently to create and modify technical drawings

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or equivalent
