Job Description & Requirements
The Role:
The F&B Manager must possess exceptional hospitality skills, excellent communication, extraordinary organizational abilities, strong management skills, and team leadership qualities. This position will oversee the operational needs of the club.
This role reports to the General Manager.
Essentials:
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in F&B or the Hospitality industry.
- Strong management skills.
- Proficient in F&B systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Passionate about the Hospitality Industry and Membership relations.
- Fluent in English for member interaction and listening skills.
- Proactive with decision-making capabilities.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent people skills and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control club procedures, including key control, security, emergency procedures, health and safety for employees and members/guests, under the guidance of the F&B Director/General Manager.
- Regularly inspect back-of-house areas to ensure proper functioning and maintenance of furnishings, facilities, and equipment, including storage rooms.
- Maintain procedures to ensure security of financial transactions, replenish supplies, and minimize waste and costs.
- Liaise with cleaning vendors for the club.
- Assist and communicate with members, reporting potential operational issues.
- Manage inventory of OS&E, staff lockers, and uniforms; coordinate with the finance team on procurement and financial matters.
F&B Events Operations:
- Assist restaurant managers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Supervise setup and service at each station.
- Possess sound knowledge of menu items, able to answer questions, and recommend to guests.
- Take guest orders, ensure accuracy in the POS system.
- Handle billing and respond promptly to guest feedback.
- Record daily sales, prepare reports for management.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues, reporting outcomes to the manager.
Employee Management:
- Supervise service staff, evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to conduct and regulations.
- Provide orientation and on-the-job training for new staff.
- Experience in fine dining is advantageous.
- Conduct locker inspections with security present.
- Perform interviews, performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
