A leading company in Singapore is hiring for an Export Operations Specialist to manage export shipments and documentation. The successful candidate will have a diploma in a relevant field and at least 3 years' experience in export operations, preferably in the FMCG/food sector. Key responsibilities include coordinating with logistics providers, managing export-documents, and resolving any issues that arise during the export process. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment of goods.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the export process such as supply chain disruptions, currency fluctuation and trade restriction.
Prepare, verify, and manage export-related documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions in compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations and export control laws.
Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries, and resolve any issues related to transportation or delays.
Collaborate with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely availability of products for export.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers/regulatory bodies/vendors to manage relationship and resolve export-related issues like order status, shipment details, and documentation.
Prepare cost reports and provide recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
Minimum 3 years of experience in export operations, preferably in FMCG/food industry.
Diploma in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.
Knowledge of Incoterms, risk management principles, and cost optimization strategies.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
