Job description

We are representing our client in the global technology and engineering space to search for an experienced Export Control Manager to complement the existing team.
Responsibilities
  1. Manage and monitor import/export policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with import/export requirements, in accordance with Singapore Customs Act and U.S. Export Control Regulations.
  2. Support end-user undertakings and address queries raised by internal customers related to these undertakings.
  3. Supervise and guide business units on regulatory changes and compliance matters, including adherence to license conditions imposed by exporting countries.
  4. Develop best practices to enable visibility of all export-controlled items within the company, maintaining records of related documents such as acquisitions and dispositions.
  5. Prepare accurate import/export documentation and maintain comprehensive records for internal and external audits.
  6. Participate in planning and supporting export compliance training seminars and initiatives.
  7. Advise internal stakeholders on clearance procedures for foreign visitors and participation in international exhibitions.
  8. Lead continuous improvement projects in Export Control areas.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in export controls and defense technology systems, preferably in defense, military, or highly regulated tech industries.
  2. Good knowledge of the Singapore Strategic Goods (Control) Act; familiarity with U.S. Export Control Regulations (ITAR, EAR) is a plus.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Strong analytical and planning abilities to proactively address issues and develop solutions.
