Job summary

A leading tech company in aerospace is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide product expertise, manage configurations, and lead new product introductions. Candidates should have a diploma in relevant engineering fields and at least 2 years of experience. The role includes working under tight deadlines and ensuring product performance. This position offers a 6-month contract convertible to permanent with benefits including medical claims and bonuses.

Job description

Benefits:

  • 6 months contract convertible to Perm
  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm
  • Others: Medical claims, Bonus etc

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide product technical expertise and support to production, ensuring optimal product performance and capability.
  • Manage product definition files and configurations, and actively participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
  • Liaise with Design Authorities and IPTs on technical matters to enhance product competitiveness.
  • Lead new product introductions, ensuring a smooth transition from development to production.
  • Act as the primary interface with customers for all product quality issues, driving actions to reduce first-fit rejections.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (8D) for quality and process issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects (Kaizen) to optimize product and processes.
  • Monitor and escalate support effectiveness to production, ensuring timely and adequate technical assistance.
  • Accountable for product cost optimization, focusing on reducing Design Authority fees and non-quality costs through R1 and FPY improvements.

Requirements:

  • Min. Diploma in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a technical support function.
  • Experience in the aviation industry is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Able to carry weight up to 30kg
