Job description

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Overview

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Execute Immersive Wildlife Experiences – Competent in running camps/glamps as camp chief or facilitator, and conduct Wildlife Experiences independently across Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
  • Perform shift duties and ensure smooth day-to-day Wildlife Experience operations.
  • Resolve feedback, issues and concerns raised by guests during tours and camps.
  • Conduct teambuilding workshops and activities for corporate groups.
  • Assist in setting up and management of campsite and ensure facilities and amenities are in tip-top condition for guests.
  • Perform check-in/check-out process for guests and ensure smooth process.
  • Handle email enquiries and service challenges promptly with a customer-oriented and positive approach, in accordance with established procedures and report to supervisor for further follow-up when necessary. Glitch reports are to be written when necessary.
  • Generate guest related reports and handle financial tasks such as billing and inventory management, ensuring business runs efficiently and profitably.
  • Work with the Senior Executives and use property management system to effectively manage check-in and check-out times during camp.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of animal knowledge to enhance visitor experiences.
  • Motivate and guide part-time staff in delivering Wildlife Experiences.
  • Assist in Wildlife Experiences inventory and logistics, whenever necessary.
  • Provide support and facilitate training for new hires and part-timers.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, public holidays, and weekends.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Qualification: GCE O'Level.
  • Experienced in working outdoors.
  • Experienced in running camp/glamps and teambuilding programmes.
  • Good understanding with on ground operations and animal knowledge is preferred.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain a Class 2/Class 3 driving license or Basic Theory & Final Theory certification for buggy driving.
  • Strong passion for conservation, nature, wildlife, and public education.
  • Enjoy working outdoors and inspiring others to protect wildlife.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Confident, energetic, and comfortable with public speaking and guest interactions.
  • Willing to learn, with good self-expression and communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented, energetic and positive.
