A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, manage a large team, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Strong leadership and excellent communication skills are required. Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews monthly operational performance with customers and provide solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Manage the planning process to ensure all daily operation activities are executed and met according to the customer SLA.
  • To ensure delivery of key SLA with customers in a fast-growing sector, including managing/implementing operations for existing and new customers in accordance with operations demands.
  • Build a strong win-win relationship with customers, so as to ensure customer retention and development of solutions to grow existing businesses.
  • Manage customer enquiries and complaints.
  • Ensure the collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Frequently review, align and keep immediate Superior updated with information on operational issues and performance indices, such as customer profile, Space Management, Resources management, Operating procedures, and P&L status.
  • Oversee warehouse activities and ensure operations is managed as per DHL standards.
  • Management of end-to-end operations process (i.e. warehousing, reverse logistics, and customs/license).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop a high-performance service culture within the functional team. Plan, organize, and direct in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Inventory management (i.e. stock count, cycle count, inventory variance investigations, inventory adjustment, parts movement).
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing records, including updating distribution database and network.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives, change request, new project and/or new initiatives with a customer-focused approach.
  • To perform time study for efficiency of operations.
  • Monthly review of continuous improvement status and savings with management and identify operations or quality gaps to drive operational excellence.
  • Lead process improvement, Continuous improvement and Digitalization.
  • Continually review and improve business processes, to improve productivity and add value to DHL services.
  • Operate according to company quality policy and in compliance to customer service standard.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Any other adhoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Min 3 years of experience in managing an operational functional team
  • Highly motivated and able to supervise headcount of more than 50, and manage relationships with all levels of staff and customer
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proficient in WMS/SAP systems
