Job Description

This role involves supporting tax reporting, compliance, and financial accounting functions, including preparation of tax filings, transfer pricing documentation, and statutory reports. The candidate will also manage the full set of accounts for various entities, liaise with auditors and tax agents, and assist with ad-hoc finance projects.

Our client is a division within a large-scale enterprise in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry. Its focus is on power generation and oil & gas ventures across Asia. The company is actively expanding its energy portfolio, particularly in clean and renewable energy sectors.

Description

As part of the finance team, you will gain regional exposure and play a key role in supporting tax and financial reporting functions for a diverse group of entities. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting direct and indirect tax reporting, including preparation of annual tax computations, GST returns, and statutory filings.
  2. Assisting with transfer pricing documentation and ensuring compliance with evolving international tax requirements.
  3. Managing the full set of accounts and producing monthly P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis reports for semi-active treasury, investment holding, management services, and dormant entities.
  4. Preparing statutory financial statements and other reports for audit and regulatory submissions.
  5. Acting as a liaison with external auditors and tax agents to facilitate smooth year-end audits and tax filings.
  6. Supporting ad-hoc finance and compliance projects, offering continuous learning and development opportunities.
Profile
  • Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent qualifications.
  • At least 3 years of experience in taxation and accounting or related fields.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
