Job Purpose
To support the Centre Shared Services team in managing and overseeing operations, events management, budgets and general administration of the Research Centres and related research funds.
Job Description
Oversee and implement operational as well as research budgets for the centre, ensuring compliance with University/stakeholders policies.
Manage centre-related events, i.e. conferences, symposiums and workshops.
Organise and minute executive committee and advisory board meetings.
Facilitate the recruitment and hosting of academic visitors and researchers.
Maintain the Centre's website and social media accounts.
Conceptualising of publicity materials.
Other related administrative duties assigned by the Centre's director and deputy director.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in general administration/secretariat work/events management.
Well versed with Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with social media applications, Canva or Adobe Photoshop will be an advantage.
Service-oriented, meticulous, with a willingness to learn, and a team player.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive circumstances.
Possesses a pleasant disposition with good written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
