Job Purpose

To support the Centre Shared Services team in managing and overseeing operations, events management, budgets and general administration of the Research Centres and related research funds.

Job Description

  • Oversee and implement operational as well as research budgets for the centre, ensuring compliance with University/stakeholders policies.

  • Manage centre-related events, i.e. conferences, symposiums and workshops.

  • Organise and minute executive committee and advisory board meetings.

  • Facilitate the recruitment and hosting of academic visitors and researchers.

  • Maintain the Centre's website and social media accounts.

  • Conceptualising of publicity materials.

  • Other related administrative duties assigned by the Centre's director and deputy director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in general administration/secretariat work/events management.

  • Well versed with Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with social media applications, Canva or Adobe Photoshop will be an advantage.

  • Service-oriented, meticulous, with a willingness to learn, and a team player.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive circumstances.

  • Possesses a pleasant disposition with good written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
