What you will be working on:

The Communications and Engagement Cluster manages PSD’s internal communications to public officers across the Public Service, and external communications to members of public and media. We work with partners to encourage public officers to grow their skills and pursue agile innovation and foster a culture of care and support for well-being within the Public Service. We also seek to build awareness of the diverse and rewarding careers offered by the Public Service.[Specific Job Responsibilities]As part of the Engagement team, you would be expected to develop and implement plans to engage public officers. This would include:• Developing mechanisms to collect feedback and derive insights on officers’ views on various policies and initiatives• Producing compelling communications materials across various formats (electronic direct mailers, infographics, newsletters, and photo and video stories) for internal and external audiences• Conceptualising and developing in-house branding reference materials, including brand visual style and guidelines• Designing and organising engagement activities that promote learning, innovation, and well-being for public officers

What we are looking for:

Competencies Required• [Communications Strategy; Message Framing and Delivery] Ability to craft and deliver clear and effective communications tailored for different target audience groups across various platforms and channels. This requires strong written and verbal communication skills.• [Content Creation and Curation] Ability to conceptualise and develop a range of branding and visual communications using graphic design, animation etc and experience with a variety of visual design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).• [Outreach & Engagement; Internal Communications] Ability to develop, implement and evaluate engagement plans to build consensus on policies, drive participation in initiatives, and foster a sense of community. This requires a deep understanding of engagement principles and trends, and ability to analyse data to determine if objectives were met and to inform future strategies.• [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements] Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work with ambiguity and loosely defined problem spaces, investigate to sense-make, and propose and implement sound solutions in narrow timeframes.• [Working Effectively with Stakeholders]: Ability to actively engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally to identify issues of concern and co-create solutions.Shortlisted applicants will typically be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date of the job posting.Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
