Job Description
The Centre for English Language Communication (CELC) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) prepares its undergraduate and postgraduate students for higher education and the workplace by equipping them with academic communication, professional communication, and other 21st century skills. CELC offers courses that range from basic academic literacy courses to writing and critical thinking, and workplace communication courses.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join CELC as an executive. You will be expected to work together with other members of the administration team to support the vision, goals, and mission of CELC.
Your key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
Work with the Chair of the Testing Committee to oversee the administration of large scale testing processes
Manage the CELC website and blogsite – knowledge of Wordpress is required
Support course administration, i.e. time-tabling, course data preparation and registration
Support CET courses, consultancy programmes and OPWN matters
Provide administrative support to the Writing and Communication Hub and the Oral Communication Committee
Prepare for the onboarding of new staff
Assist staff to troubleshoot and solve equipment hardware problems
Liaise with the Facilities office and external vendors
Manage procurement and finance-related matters
Take on other duties as and when required
Qualifications
Requirements
A University degree
Knowledge of WordPress is a key requirement
Good oral and written communication skills
Well versed with Microsoft Office
Experience in the design, conceptualisation, and maintenance of websites, blog, and social media presence an advantage
Basic understanding of data analytics
Knowledge of equipment hardware an advantage
Self-motivated and works well in a team
Meticulous and well-organised
Knowledge of NUS systems such as CONCUR, S4HANA, CANVAS, CMIS, CourseReg SAP, procurement an advantage
Knowledge of technology enhanced learning tools an advantage
