Job description:

Job Responsibilities

1. Timely processing of customer invoices, verifying discrepancies, and resolving billing issues within deadlines.
2. Ensure all payments are correctly recorded, reconciled, and reflected in the accounts receivable ledger.
3. Manage monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, coordinating with business units on issues like fraud, chargebacks, and refunds.
4. Assist with cashier duties such as managing cash takings and reconciling cash float against ERP system.
5. Review credit history, accounts, client payments, and update customer files and records.
6. Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, or in person to ensure timely collection of debts.
7. Monitor and report on customer account details for non-payments, delays, and irregularities; facilitate payments through reminders and communication.
8. Perform account reconciliation, including age analysis and AR aging evaluation to ensure compliance.
9. Assist with month-end closing, report generation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
10. Perform ad-hoc tasks like system enhancements, credit card payment reports, and process improvements.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, ACCA, AAT, or other professional qualifications.
2. 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
3. Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
4. Meticulous, capable of multitasking, and able to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills; quick learner with initiative.
6. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
